CGI Hand
For this brief, we were required to work individually in Autodesk Maya 3D, and create a low-polygon mesh structure of our own hands. Before going into this brief independently, we were taught some of the basics in modelling on Monday. Understanding the hot-keys made the process a lot easier for me as 3D isn't really my strongest skill. When I began this project I looked to Youtube for some tutorials on 3D hands just so I could refresh my memory from class, the clip below was the one I used as reference when working.
The gallery of screenshots below show the final outcome of my 3D hand in its shaded form.

The gallery below shows my 3D hand but in its wire form.

Overall, I am happy with how my hand visually looks, I was able to learn a lot from Maya with this brief which will help me in the long run on my course. If I were to go back and change anything about my hand it would to put more thought into the thumb, the tip of the thumb looks pointed and has a lot of vertices to it, which is the opposite to the four fingers' basic flat shape, making the thumb not fit in as well.
